Very simple. You drive out with a instructor .if you're a competent driver you'll have no problems. Far easier to drive than a dirty diesel van. It's not a test as such. . Just you getting used to it.
The Mercs are abysmal. I have to be a bit careful with the Mercedes vans as when performing a manoeuvre I often put it into Drive or Reverse but somehow haven’t and it then momentarily rolls if on sloped ground until I knock the stalk-mounted gear lever a second time. The Peugeots are a bit (but not much) better. All are very easy to drive. Speaking for myself, I prefer an old-fashioned diesel van.
Thanks for all the info, we are going electric soon.
I’m just a bit nervous I guess as don’t really like driving so get nervous when being assessed.
Which is stupid I know as never head an accident or points on license
It's a change of driving style Enzio, and just takes a few days to get on top of.
Choose the Economy setting and look further ahead down the road, say 70-100 yards and if you are approaching maybe traffic lights or a roundabout, then lift off the throttle and coast. This is because you will re-charge the battery, as your display needle will sit in the charge zone on your display.
The range is about 90 miles if your on 100%, and when you get to 50%, perhaps think about plugging the van into the charging point. If done correctly (green lights) your van will be back to 100% next morning.
When you open the bonnet, don't touch anything orange colour as it could be live electric.
I like the Mercedes, but the Peugeot's are slightly easier (no releasing of the footbrake for example)
