If that now works then that only seems a recent development, as until recently collections only appeared when you scan the collection code into the collection slot? It sounds like another move by .to get us ready to cover two duties later this summer!!

You can scan two routes into your PDA. Scan both routes on the home screen of the outdoor. One route barcode into the delivery space, the second into the collection space. You should get all the collection on delivery points and two colod points. Remember to scan the colod barcode twice when you confirm the collection. You will not be able to do this is you are using the dpr facility on the PDA.

No as I had no need to do it today, turning that question around are you suggesting it's not a recent development and we've always been able to do it?

I want to say it happened around March. All the headers were changed with the usual lack of announcement. Lots of 'non-geo' abound.

Id say recently, previously it would say collection route not found if you entered a delivery route into the collection box

It happened a few months ago, all the collection data has been consolidated into Route Manager rather than be controlled by a separate entity. It also means collections can be sequenced into the route (so they appear in route order on your PDA among other things). It has created a lot of problems though with boxes being on the wrong routes and weird disparities with Mon-Fri and Saturday collections. As with everything Route Manager it's incredibly buggy and takes forever to get fixed, the software is absolute trash.

Has anyone gone through the data to make sure that all boxes are on the correct routes? It could be that when the data was migrated from the old system that someone screwed up and put some boxes on the wrong routes.

Some may just be the Route Manager person (I refuse to say champion) has not had the time to do it, some is a problem from the changeover and is waiting for a fix by the people who designed it.

There is neither the time nor the personnel to fix all the problems that have accumulated over the years of haphazard operation. Everything is a mess, which is a great starting point for shoehorning the ODM into place.
