Public abuse online last few days

Post by Chelseablue »

Seen a lot of abuse by the public online last few days , having a right go at mostly the postys. Those at the top whove destroyed our company got away scot free while were left to deal with the mess

Posties are the public face of RM. So first against the wall when the people rise up.

It's a bit like folk having a crack at tesco shelf stackers over price rises. Deep down they know its not our fault, but we're the ones they see and have access to when they want to vent.

Most of the public are thick and ignorant and lazy
Still think they’re supposed to get their mail by 11am

Most of the social media posts that I have seen seem to acknowledge the fact that the rot is at the higher levels. A lot say that their posties are very good. A few have said that they only see post once a week (which judging from the issues in my depot is probably true) but again rarely seem to be levelling their wrath at front line staff.

Face to face I have had a few folk ask me what is going on. I explain the situation, most seem to accept it and the few that don't I suggest that they call customer services as it is nothing to do with me and walk off.

I think that the public have begun to realise that a lot of the former public services have been run in to the ground to profit shareholders. (The monumental screw-up by the water companies have probably helped drum this home). But a new dawn awaits with a venture capitalist at the helm so if the public are expecting things to get better..........

If anyone questions me about the latest developments I just say when's the last time you wrote a letter ? Usually shuts them up.

I'd love to facilitate that if it weren't for every obstruction placed in my way over the years. I can't even guarantee that for my first delivery point because I can barely ever get in it anymore :evil/mad
The machine stops.
