USO LATER FINISH TIMES
We've been told in our office that we will have a shorter day on a Saturday ie 6 Hours 50 minutes. So therefore we will have to work a little bit longer on the weekdays to make up for it. Does thisbmean that we will be forced into an even later finish?

Re: USO LATER FINISH TIMES
Yes, looking at the duty options most Saturdays are 7 hrs so to accommodate more Saturdays off the weekday attendances will be a bit longer

Re: USO LATER FINISH TIMES
Still amazes me how little has been done to address the issues and variances in finish times, especially for Saturdays. 1pm for some, 4pm for others.
I remember when they brought the new times in last year the CWU said there would be a review to get them earlier again. That just fizzled out.
Now we are talking about pushing it back even more?

It's almost like the CWU don't care about Delivery or something..?Perseus wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025, 18:42Still amazes me how little has been done to address the issues and variances in finish times, especially for Saturdays. 1pm for some, 4pm for others.

Yes Perseus, what about postal workers who go to football
on Saturday's, for example those with season tickets etc ?
My train gets me to my station at 2:30, then a 10 min walk home, then get changed and then a 15 min walk to the football stadium. That makes it really tight for kick-off time.
It's got to be looked at.

They don't care - do you think they're going to change people's times so you can go to the footballBenacreNick wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025, 19:32Yes Perseus, what about postal workers who go to footballon Saturday's, for example those with season tickets etc ?

Re: USO LATER FINISH TIMES
Exactly why they enjoy doing it!!! They want you to go “nah bollocks to this, I’ve got no time to do what I enjoy” and jack it in and leave. The people coming up with this s**t won’t be working Saturdays and missing out on family time or doing things they enjoy.BenacreNick wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025, 19:32Yes Perseus, what about postal workers who go to footballon Saturday's, for example those with season tickets etc ?

I wonder if there’s another company out there who desperately want so many staff to leave. It goes against all good business practice. It really is utterly bizarre

Re: USO LATER FINISH TIMES
That's what I'm saying - they've already made it impossible for many offices to have a decent Saturday, but instead of arresting and reversing that, they seem hell bent on going the other way.qwerty2 wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025, 20:01They don't care - do you think they're going to change people's times so you can go to the footballBenacreNick wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025, 19:32Yes Perseus, what about postal workers who go to footballon Saturday's, for example those with season tickets etc ?

Re: USO LATER FINISH TIMES
Twenty years ago a shorter attendance on a Saturday meant hours earlier than Monday to Friday. Now the great attraction for 2-in-5 or 2-in-6 or whatever is... 10 minutes earlier.
The machine stops.
