Well the hours are pretty much the only thing going for the job, for anyone on the new contract.
So good luck to them with that.

I take it you are quite far north? Those hours are ridiculous.

Did you read the union's report on the pilot offices? Bulwell are making it out the door at 0920! All's well in superhubland I guess.

Northern England. We had 3.00pm finishes as far back as 2010.

When the times changed last year I realised I couldn't recall why they had changed in 2007. Blame it on planes, trains, and lowered speed limits for 7½ tonners...

Dear Martin and Terry

The 56 mph speed limit means we must change a lot of delivery start times in order to maintain service. Rather than having variable times across the country we want a consistent customer offering at delivery offices. So the standard normal delivery start time will be between 0600 and 0630.
18 years later could things get any more inconsistent? That's not a dare.

Some offices have just scrapped Sunday deliveries altogether

Just absorbing into the Monday regular deliveries as before
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next

Can't see that lasting too long otherwise RM will lose some contracts.

If those offices are rural you should probably bet your pension on that happening yesterday.
