Internal job

Post by lomax1231 »

Hi all. Just a quick question which hopefully some will know the answer to. I been told you need to be at royal mail for 6 months before you can apply for an internal job. Is this correct?

First 6 months would be probation period I would guess, you can’t apply for another role if someone hasn’t ticked the box to keep you permanently

What role are you in at the moment? Is the cover manager at the same place of work?

In my experience these posts are already filled or at least have a favoured candidate.
They advertise them and go through the motions to make it look good.
I did actually in the dim and distant past go for one of these jobs, it became clear a few weeks later
that the choice had already been made and short of this man dribbling or claiming to hear voices on the big day
the job was his, on another occasion i was actually the chosen one (PHG).
Call me cynical but i would consider it realism.
