Is sick pay just basic hours, or does it include average overtime?

I've been a postie for several years, but I've had to have some time off sick, and am just getting my basic 5 hours per day pay.

I've never done the basic hours, normally I'm in an extra 2 hours per day in the morning.

Someone told me that sick pay was your usual weekly hours, or is that just annual leave.

You only get basic hours after SSP

not being funny mate but maybe be glad your getting sick pay at all a lotta companys don't give you anything never mind of some kinda average hours worked=sick pay.

You will be paid your basic hours while on sick same on annual leave.unless you have done 8hrs a month for 6 months then you will hp while on annual leave.

And don't forget it gets worse, if you didn't manage 8 hrs ot in the rest of the qualifying period you were off sick in then that will negate your average holiday pay for any holidays you've got in the next six months.
