Post by postmanplod2025 »

Just wondering if anyone knows how to get double treble barcodes off ur screen, when your out their me and my van share partner doing oversize for a bit before we started this loop and 2 parcels came up on his screen but we were only doing oversize at time so he only had that one on him and other small parcel in his bag for later so he had to borrow my pda so just to scan the one oversize parcel to come up as on his he couldnt get the two off to get the oversize one only, so how is there a way to get the second one off, its a crazy system, u scan one others come up , u scan it again it only takes one in ur hand off but not that others that are in ur van, anyone know how to get them all off at same time if u dont have them to hand

You can swipe it and it will delete it.

Delete the items, go to ad-hoc mode and enter number manually for the item you are carrying.
You do the work, they get the loot. The men with the smiles and the 3 piece suits.

That’s what I usually do. Swipe right. Delete the item you don’t have with you, if you deliver it later, or your partner or someone else does, then it still has a delivery scan.

Why on earth would you go there to deliver a large and then go back later with a smaller parcel? Who trains these people?

If it isn't possible to band them together, i.e the big one is too big and the small one is tiny, then yes, put them together.

I thought that but maybe they were driving between loops and stopped on the way past with the big item, the other could have been a small postable Moonpig tracked card or whatever that was in the bundle of mail, just a guess, I suppose as well the best bet would have been to band the other items to the large parcel but it doesn't always go that way especially if you're working in pairs and don't prep everything yourself.

Why? How? I get that sometimes a parcel will be missed but for it to happen regularly

It shouldn’t, if you do a list of oversize and check the small parcels against it. Granted, you can still miss the odd one ( I did today :arrrghhh ) but in general it helps.

FT preps both deliveries and bags up then puts big pkts in van - how they supposed to remember all pkts in bags for both duties and all big parcels
PT starts later and doesn’t know where the pkts are for!
