Nah, but it will be reduced to once or twice a week in the not too distant future.

There will always be letters unless something left field comes from artificial intelligence. It’s inevitable the service will be reduced to 2/3 days a week though in my opinion. The upcoming new uso is just the beginning.

What mail does the average person here get per day/week/month? and what % of it do you actually need.

Bills, bank statements, payslips can all be viewed online.

Are there any letters you get regularly that are important?

But that’s a nonsense argument!!

What did you buy in your weekly shop? Did you buy any nice things? If so why? You could have just done with bread & water!

We could go on forever about what’s needed etc etc.
Do you have a telly? Why? You don’t need it you could just sit there and chat!

And so we could go on, so why do people question why people need post?

The problem being is that everyone has allowed RM to brainwash them over the last 10 years. They’ve done this to the public, The CWU and now posties are following suit. They’ve been very clever letting the thought of mail being irrelevant seep into everyone’s thinking that now it’s just become the mantra to chant.

Let's not bring necessity into the conversation. Almost no-one needs any of the shite we deliver, packets very much included.
The machine stops.

But the first part of the post was correct, I personally get 2/3 letters in an average month, most of the things I used to receive has gone paperless and I wasn't given a choice in that decision.

There needs to be a need for posted mail sadly that need is disappearing quickly
