Had a pretty good day. Quite heavy for a Thursday and I got a bit wet but it could have been much worse.

More election material from the Conservative Party, now had two lots from them over the past week for the Euro Elections with the same "message" just a different shape... First one was "square" and the next like an "oblong"... and all going to the same people!
Masses of letters and loads of those Next catalogues, along with the "normal Thursday flats" and masses of "Thursday packets" and all trollied up with about 16 pouches total for our P/L delivery. 8 SD's, 16 Tracked and 18 S/F's, plus 5 large boxes with flowers and piles of other larger boxes [70 c/m square approx]. Surely over a certain size Parcel Force would be a better choice? Got out late... got drenched in downpours and got back late..!

Thank fekk today is over.. walked about 12miles today... = Knackered!

Two unaddressed election leaflets at the start of the week, over 5 days, which we can't put in with the three D2Ds

Then today, we get two more addressed election pamphlets with three days to do them.

End result will be going to every house three times in five days :mad plus ages spent in the office. First letter went in at 11, a new personal worst, so that's something

Will probably end up about £70 better off for the leaflets, but given that I don't know what day it is anymore, not sure it's worth it

Tomorrow will almost certainly be worse :nana

Another heavy day with s**t loads of Next catalogues. If fact around 80% of the mail was made up of catalogues, holiday brochures and just rubbish really. I've noticed this round in particular always has loads of flats even on so called light days. It's been heavy for me all week really, thank god last day tomorrow then a week off. :nana

Work Time Lying today.........Yippee :Very Happy Just when you thought you'd get out the door early. Started off well. "The way RM Management & the CWU are going to be working in future will be different........ We will be trying to work together instead of always arguing with each other". :hmmmm Moving rapidly downhill........ "In future there won't be a Pressure Overtime sheet in the Office.....you will have to see me personally if you want to book any overtime"!

So glad to see the new attitude is working well. :whistle

Please be aware I'm not pushing or promoting this material. It is here as part of my post, nothing more. I have no affiliation with this party at all.

More Election material.. Green Party and this person and their party who I've never heard of before I saw this election material

This being touted by a former Dutch MEP, now standing for the South-East Region for this party. Is it to actually try to scupper UKIP and their name, or are they really that short of candidates that they have to get one in from Europe to stand for them in the region?
I've had people ask me who this person is and I just tell them: "I've no idea and I've never even heard of her or this party prior to seeing this leaflet today."

She is a dutch politician who had a falling out with the Party for Freedom (PVV) and their leader Geert Wilders Image

The Party itself is a splinter party of UKIP it was setup by Mike Nattrass MEP in 2013 following his deselection as a candidate for the UK Independence Party (UKIP) and subsequent departure from the party. There was talk that he was joining the EDL but that didn't happen.

Thanks for that info TBT. It does make you wonder how extreme some of these actual political parties are in Europe, if they have leaders like Geert Wilders. For far right also read extreme.. hence the EDL link maybe and is that why he, Mike Natrass, "left" UKIP? Probably not to Farage's taste as it were?
Either way it will rattle more than a few people in our area, if they decide to take a look at these people and their political views, that is.
