I sometimes do O/T on a Saturday clearing excess specials, quite a perverse pleasure waking people up on a Saturday at 7 a.m.UnhappyGremlin wrote:That's what I like to see. Even more of a shame that she is the 3rd call on our new revised P/L delivery.Even more more of a shame that we got out of the office at 8:15 today!.......kept a smile on my face anyway, driver wanted to take them as they were bulk but I insisted.I do like my job sometimes.![]()
I used to have a bloke who'd moan that he 'only got to lie in at weekends'.
If he had an SD/recorded or parcel, I'd drive to his house 1st.

SOS ...Same old shite...
Promised frame prep not done, again. No van so van share...but had to go on 16 mile round trip to Rural first, before cutoffs in Town.
Then, cutoffs turned out to really bulky/heavy for a Monday, but there you go, as the full timer knows when to swing the lead bigtime. All his D2D's etc.
Couldn't finish my planned round, so took mail back by phone prearrangement.
Office not happy...not happy at all. Tuff.
You cant fit a quart into a pint pot.

Rubbish.
It all went wrong.
Hope it goes better the rest of the week.

A very loooong day.
Got asked to go on a blind Wave2 collection (while I should have been Segging') plus my normal Wave 3 and 4 collection.....No breaks, so that was 8 hours on collections during my 10 hour shift.

Resident (completely serious): Will you be around later with the second delivery?
Me: There hasn't been a second delivery in nearly 10 years!

Crap, crap and more crap. Plus piles of households [More Crap!!]
Didn't start delivering until about 10:30 after schools, tracked items nearby and larger items delivered and by then the timelocks on some door entries kicked in around 11:15am. Cleaner got me into a few blocks with his keyfob, and told me some timelocks had been reset by the local council! WTF!!
Keyfobs, which the council refuse to give us, would have got us in!
Local Councils words: "It's a security issue".
Wet/windy day, fleece was soaked within 30mins. Thank you very much Mr Weatherman on the Beeb for promising clear skies and warmer(!) weather today, than of late. Ended up with grey overcast skies that dumped rain on the local populace... including me. Foul weather jacket left at home. Next time it's coming out with me what ever the weather, it normally does but I didn't bother today as the weather map showed clear sunny skies from 10am onwards.. Just like it is now at 17:45!

Having worked a "Honey" truck, I would dispute that. It might be close but the splashback is a killer.tasam wrote:Just the usual crap.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
I always thought the "idea" of van share was that...at least...there wud be TWO keys, one each?
Lucky it was warm and sunny and not peeing down whilst waiting for my compadre to finish his loop twice today.
Why give a van to one driver, that has two keys, but give a van to two peeps, with one key?
