Isn't it also against the principles of P&L - IIRC the video showing the most efficient method is one loading the trolley from the back and one from the side.Pat Ostman wrote:That's stupid, even for a line manager. Also told by the manager that we could no longer use the back doors of the van on delivery ( back doors only to be used to load up van at the office). Side doors only to be used on delivery. Plenty of the usual RM BS at the worktime learning.

Having done P&L I'd say bollocks to that, you can't fit the amount of post/packets and trolly in to get them out if you do (I suppose it works if you only get 20 attendance calls it might work but with 80/90 it does fail miserably) . Both need to be loaded in the back and use the side for bulk packets..............still doesn't help when your returns are piled up and falling over the live packets which means spending 5 minutes everytime you stop sorting them out.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:Isn't it also against the principles of P&L - IIRC the video showing the most efficient method is one loading the trolley from the back and one from the side.Pat Ostman wrote:That's stupid, even for a line manager. I would say that most vans side loading are on the left side of the van, so that would mean, it would be safe to reload the postie in the road.
So if I were your manager I would be looking for a new job.

Heavy catalogues and sky high on parcels.
Run, rabbit run. Dig that hole, forget the sun.
And when at last the work is done. Don't sit down, it's time to dig another one

Emergency call to come in earlier, sickness cover. Did 3/4 of a round, others did the rest. Just wondering how it takes 5 hrs to do the round, when 3/4 takes just over 2.

The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Awful end to an awful week.
Monday now looming large before us, too soon it seems, and so it begins again, a long hard, torturous week working for some of the vilest people in the Western world.

Lovely day with the misses today
Looking forward to a lighter duty next week.
No stairs/hills
Lack of nutter dogs/customers
