A busy day but it was OK, until I booked my overtime and my DOM moaned about me booking 2hrs.
I'm on a 25hr contract, do all my prep, go out and deliver everything and my flex, go at a sensible speed without killing myself.
If its busy its busy can't do anything about that.

Average day for a Wednesday. The usual recorded items and packets coming through after the Tuesday lull. At least it was dry almost all day.

Heaviest day we've had for a very long time today. Lots and lots of flats, thick magazines and a letter for every house on the round I was on

Finished the same time as yesterday. Loads off sick and holidays. Dom aked me if I would do extra overtime on Saturday as they are really desperate for cover. result.. I laughed and reminded him about our national agreement on more weekends off. Adding that I wouldn't be doing any more than I wanted to which didn't include as he'd asked. Result... one quiet Dom.

Much easier than yesterday. In fact, very good compared to most Fridays. Stayed dry all day and still warm. As I'm typing this it is absolutely bouncing down. Hope it's dry tomorrow. :nervous

Sat.

I was hoping for a light sat being bank hols and all :left:

Walked in to 3 mech trays (normal) and 3 trays full of saga ans cruise stuff :d'oh!

Thankfully the rest of the mail was ok so we got out before 8am.

So just as heavy as it has been all week. Only saving grace is that i managed to grab a van when i came back to office to pick up some more mail. I was about half way round at 10am and the firms had already finished and gone home. :so there

Finished bang on time. :hmmmm
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

After a really busy day yesterday today was pretty quiet, then I did a daft thing and left a parcel by mistake outside a business, thought I'd delivered elsewhere so went back out and ended up finishing late. Had a terrible week this week in general, still only a four day week next week then on a weeks holiday :Very Happy

Heaviest Saturday for a while - in fact this last week has been very busy here. I wrote a P739 out for a recorded letter then posted it along with the letter through the door - doh!

Okay, so ... park and loop. Week one, concluded. Hmm. Disaster? Very possibly, maybe. There is a distinct hypothetical possibility that there are eight packet bags by certain frames recently vacated by somebody who might perhaps have resembled me. It is also highly (maybe) possible that we did not deliver a) all of the hypothetical mail that does not exist and b) any of the packets that might perhaps have possibly, theoretically, have appeared in said (imaginary) packet bags over the last four days. We might, for instance, have simply delivered (just) the mail on said days to give the appearance, ostensibly, that all the houses and hypothetical park and loop walks were receiving a delivery.

Of course, in this non-hypothetical world, everything is wonderful and I shall not say a bad word about my employer, nor incriminate myself in acts that are of themselves highly questionable from both a procedural and a moral point-of-view. Not that I am above being a deceitful c*nt, of course.
