rubbish....box counter staff member failed to show up again..i get dragged into it.....only to find out the two staff members who were in it on Saturday did virtually nothing to help my cause today....no PO box stuff done at all, dozens of specials to sort out to firms/couriers,recorded items not done or tracked, firms bags not cleared off so all bursting at the seams today,..yep...and to add insult to injury..couple of gaffers said they would help me cos i was on my own...i got 15 mins from one gaffer(that is how long it took for him to try and find a recorded packet...he looked in box counter, then track and traced it,went to the postie, spent more time looking for it,went to customer, apologized took the ladies contact details...i asked for the date on the card....went into our office and found it in 10 seconds... :Applause :Applause :Applause )..made me chuckle...all in all a pretty shite day....lots of grumpy customers saying that they were in when the p739 card was put through their letterbox....(heard it)....knew all this was getting to me as i started to snap at people..which isn't me usually....

Not the best of days considering it was a Tuesday. Lapsing is back on Tuesdays because of the idiots who refuse to do the job properly and come in on time and take breaks. On the way back from my walk I heard... "what you doing at this time?* I looked around and then peered over the wall towards the pub below. One of the office idiots was there at about 14.15 dressed in every day clothes with a pint in his hand. (paid till 14.28 today) So I shouted a reply to let him know just what I thought of him. :arrrghhh

Captain's Log.
Park and Loop.

Our two walks are already past the point of no return. Packets litter the fitting. Trackers aren't going. Mail cannot even be done on time, even without taking any of the walker sized packets. This is on a light Tuesday. Other walks? Cannot be done in time either. Guys are regularly coming back an hour over, or more (booking the overtime, so I have no problem with it). It has to be said that as of now it looks completely calamitous. As of tomorrow, I'm doing nothing more than my hours. I gave it a go the first two days to try and gauge how doable the walk was.

I get the impression this park and loop can be done mon and tues, but soon as you hit the busy days, people seem to struggle..... Roll on tomorrow!!!...

You could be in the same office as me, then. Some of the walks are getting done on time, but not all. The problem is that the majority of the walks that are getting done are only just getting done - on Monday and Tuesday, in the middle of the lighter period of the year. Going into the winter ... and Christmas .

Last Christmas there were days when we were leaving an entire walk of our P&L pair in the office as neither myself nor my partner work past our time. You don't half feel refreshed when you split one walk between two people. :dance

Second week of P&L, to be honest me and my work partner are running out of conversations to have in the 40 mins we have spare :cuppa even after using the trollies and all breaks, with not one corner cut. Still get back in time to tag 30 mins meal break on the end :whistle .......... I know it wont last after the repick and xmas busy period, so i'm making hay while it pisses down.

Had a bit of fun today - delivered a really big "Something for you" card - you can see part of it in this photo.

Why didn't you take a photo of it outside?
Why did you feel the need to break in to the house?
Is this part of a new trial for when "deliver to neighbour" dies a sorry death?
