Earlier finish although still plenty to get signed for. Cannot understand people who send off for stuff and have it delivered to their home add. when they are at work. Got several that do this on a regular basis. Why don't they have them sent to work?

Because you sometimes have to have it sent to the address your credit/debit card is registered at.

Anyway it pissed it down again today.
This is quite possibly the worst summer I have ever known.

Now on my rest week :nana :nana
One of the guys had his day off yesterday and a casual took his duty out. He bought back 2 loops and today when the duty holder returned he asked the manager what they wanted him to do regarding the cut offs, he was told to throw it all back in the frame and get on with it and told 'tough, you should'nt of taken your day off then!'
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

It never ceases to amaze me, how management can continually cock-up something that used to run so smoothly, like clockwork almost, in the now seemingly far-off distant days gone by.
In over 40 years of working, I thought I'd seen poor management.......Until, I joined Royal Mail, it was then, and only then, that I was certain I had seen the very worst management set-up ever in my lifetime.
And that's saying something, folks.....Because, I worked for some very amateurish firms when I left school, believe me.

fng is in the same office as mine, and tbh, most of the walks don't look too bad - for the lighter days. We tend to deal in phenomenally light Mondays in terms of packets, ridiculously light Tuesdays in terms of mail - before getting battered Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. This especially applies to trackeds.

I've never understood though how one can strike a balance between light and busy days. You can't work your hours on both if your contracted hours are the same for each. Which means the walks are either going to be too small on light days or too big on heavy days, whichever way you err.

One benefit we have over other offices is that we have a great rep who refused to simply sign off on any old sh*te. The walks are sufficient that they look completable on most days, and will take you to your time if you do the job properly. There are a few odd f*ckers that look too big but hopefully they'll be addressed.

Whether the whole thing will fall to sh*te on Wednesday, I dunno.
