It's all free to ensure Post Offices can be closed down in the next few years due to reduced footfall
That'd be a reasonable assumption if RM owned the Post Office but it doesnt
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next

That's a good point , I should have also mentioned many small offices work from a local PO , those will surely all move into a larger local office

It'll depend on if it's the PO or RM who own a site

What i can never understand with the business is they add all these extra tasks to your duty, scanning virtually every parcel, photo capture, the return of asking for signatures and now parcel collect but still expect you to complete in time.
and then they can't understand why they're not seeing productivity improvements :arrrghhh :arrrghhh

Dear Simon, In the last 2 weeks I've had 4 parcel collects from the same address.

Each and every single time the customer hasn't had the parcel and didn't know what the hell I was on about.
Had the exact same , joke of a company.
Me too, last three customer collects, the customer didn't have a scooby what i was going on about picking up a parcel!!

Just be thankful the "scan all stamps" idea got kicked before it started. I still think they'll try it

Most post offices are inside shops anyway. Not many crown offices left now. Most got merged into WH Smith’s.

has made no difference to my van share. We probably have to do on average 3 collections a week. No increase in collections.

I think it's mostly used by people returning items they bought.

I assume the take up for this service has been far lower than Royal Mail had hoped.

Working out the correct weight of a parcel isn't possible for most so they'd likely just go down the Post Office.

I am delighted to announce that, as of today, our very popular Label-less Parcel Collect service has been enhanced to include International parcels which require CN22 customs label. Our frontline colleagues will see a new yellow PDA button "INTL LABEL" when a customs label is required, and they will be able to print both customs and postage labels whenever Parcel Collect has been requested. The ability to order Label-less Parcel Collect for International parcels will be available on Click & Drop Journey 1, 2 and on our online postage platforms.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Something else to turn up for at someones door to find it doesnt exist, been cancelled or no answer. Why are we losing money again?
