I’ve been working my day off to break even, I can’t afford to take 2 days off in the week…personally I need to work my day off if my day off doesn’t fall on a strike day, I don’t see the point of sitting at home when I’ve already had a day off for the strike day, but obviously not everyone can work their day off because we would be overstaffed, But there are some colleagues maybe who can afford to take their day off and their strike day or they just don’t think outside the box and think…If I work my day off I will break even at least and not lose a days pay because of the strike day…anyway each to their own I guess.

You won’t break even, working your day off will be at a lower pay rate like normal.
