Specials, small packets, oversize, letters you name it, all in one, none if it is even vaguely sorted.

Probably a packet sorting machine, not all MCs have got one. We pull out any specials that we see and they go over to the SD locker. Large get pulled out and go over to the large setup. If it's a direct york from a superhub, we don't touch it, it gets wheeled straight from the bay the artic arrives on to the bay for the run to whatever DO it is.

It's farcical having the Specials signed out of the locker all secure like it's the nuclear codes when in reality they were fished out the packet yorks that morning. I thought the whole point was they ran parallel and segregated through the network until merging with the other mail streams at the final mile.
