Its my first year in the job only had £40 so far but am meant to be on a good duty for tips, when do most people get the bulk of their tips? Xmas eve?
It makes me laugh there are people you know wont tip you they literally snatch the parcel out your hand and slam the door without even so much as a thanks!

Got some right miserable types on mine, mutes - don't say a word some of them when handing stuff over but then again some can't speak the Queens :d'oh!

I am up to about £40 with a bottle of wine, quite happy with that considering they are tight.

last year own delivery knew the customers all 350 of them, helped when i could left mail in porches and neighbours when safe nearly £400 never had a problem , this year dont expect anything as service is so bad now but have been given £7 so far`which is nice, cant blame any one but now have over 1300 calls between the pair of us dont leave a thing in any where that could cause me problems which they dont like ignore notes on doors ,but been in the office for so many petty things and just dont have any faith that the managers will back us up if any problems happen so no tips and none expected

A box of chocolates, a bottle of bubbly and a fiver today. So far £35 quid in cash. Do you all send Xmas cards to your customers who give you tips?

120ish last year. 0 this year. I'm still doing the same things that got me 120 last year and still have a good relationship with my customers.

Lack of tips is widespread this year in my office.

I think the fact they have got less is a real cause for concern, not the fact we are not getting as much/any as they are a bonus, but the reasons why are far more damaging

Last year one lad sent everybody on his delivery a Christmas card....He ended up with over £300 tips!!
Same round this year with a new lad on it, has had a card and a bottle of bitter! ha.

Personally up to now ive had £40 and two bottles of beer...Tho its seems the younger generation dont believe in the tradition of festive tipping whereas the older generation took it very seriously as a gesture of moral sharing and an appreciation of all the hard work throughout the year!

To date. £35 and a gift wrapped package with instructions not to open until Xmas!
At the moment we're £20 up on last year..! lmaoo

I used to get used to get about £400-500 at Christmas on my old delivery before switching over to the "new delivery methods"... P&L and seniority done me in..!
