In our office the DUM and DUMMETTS try to tell us that at x-mas their is a no cut off policy every year its the same he never gets it but he still tries.

Got to admit I’m really looking forward in watching the RM chaos & meltdown this coming Christmas let the yellow back spineless yes votes take the pressure 🫣

In our office last year we were offered 15 hours over 2 weeks and six people opted out and just worked their normal hours.

As long as you inform the DOM before the pressure starts you can opt out.

However several people tried to opt out half way through as they dumped s**t loads of extra work on us but found that they had no choice but to do it.

The screws tried to insist on no cut offs but a several people told them they were cutting off to which the response was hrrrrrr or something like that and when they did cut off there was nothing they could do.

Just make sure you have a witness present when informing them you are cutting off.

I wont be informing them that i won't be doing a second o.t at xmas i will do as i always do and tell them each day i wont be doing it and cutting off,honestly can't believe what some offices are getting told by the managers i think my favourite is if you don't tell them before pressure starts then you have to do it

I realise you've just resurrected a thread from 15 years ago here, but I quit the job after 16 years because RM is finished. Shady management practices coupled with uneven workloads have well and truly sunk the ship.

Have some belief in yourselves fellow OPG's. Jobs are plentiful and loyalty is short these days.

This thread is quaint in hindsight. I'd happily take Christmas 2007 over a normal day now. If I just hang on a little longer it'll go back to how it was
