Seems they have just noticed that members across the land are getting punched, kicked and stamped on.

The union mentioned that this is the best way forward on the new delivery model, what they failed to mention is how much more fatigued will the workforce be impacted by these new changes.

When i started delivery spans were achievable with a three and a half hour walk, but over the years the workload and fatigue and definitely got worse. With the current delivery model which is over 5 hours, more older staff will leave in time as it's to much.

The whole DM26 was never thought through properly and the union know this from the start. The last time we had a proper revision posties actually had there say on how the duties should be constructed. It was never perfect but at least staff had constructive feedback through the process on the revision. This time around it's take no prisoners and let the posties in a pod work it out, even the management have taken a back seat and are just checking to see if you have taken 1st class mail out.

DK wants to make huge profits at the expense of its already worn out , de motivated staff.
The bloke is ruthless.... he doesn't care if you drop dead... you'll just get replaced....
I don't think it is good for your mental health to just make stuff up.

DK also owns several media titles in France (Elle, Marianne) of which he says he wouldn't accept losses but he doesn't expect them to make much money either.
He has also loaned money to Liberation.

So all this stuff about he doesn't care if you drop dead isn't really doing you much good.
can't really understand if their mental health is that bad they post that kind of stuff on here..why put yourself through more torture maybe seek professional help.

Wednesday is technically 5 days mail as those loops will have gone out today. The extra workload doesn't make much difference to most of us. The limit of what can be done in a day was hit a long time ago. RM need to accept that.

DM26 is the union's Heavy & Light delivery model, which began life as an adjustment to the ODM which wasn't working in the trial offices. If it gets tweaked again it'll be DM27 and if enough years elapse it'll be watered down so much that we're back doing what we did before DM26 came to town. Only we'll have pissed away a fortune trying to make the impossible happen.
The machine stops.

Next week will be fun. Effectively 3 days mail to catch up with.
I've just had a thought, usually Fridays light side would be Mondays heavy side, but what happens on a BH week is it moved to being heavy on that side on the Tuesday to keep in sync ?
Otherwise Wednesday is going to be fun
It's effectively five days work.
Pod 1 Heavy (say) goes out Thursday
Pod 1 light on Friday (1 day)
Pod 1 light on Saturday (2 day)
No mail on BHM (3 day)
Pod 1 light on Tuesday (4 day)
Pod 1 heavy on Weds! (5 day) Enjoy.

It is important to remind all CWU representatives that management must be held accountable for the
safeguards contained within the agreement. No unit should be deployed unless a fully agreed
resourcing plan is in place for up to 6 weeks and all pre-deployment checks and governance processes
have been completed.
One of our managers said today that if the Local Rep doesn't agree to the DM26 plan next week, and doesn't offer solutions, it's being pushed through anyway for October.
No extra vans, no extra staff, although any part timer who wants it will go full time, and duties aren't being made lighter.
Oh, and I was asked today to estimate what 20% of my duty is (assume I will be pod 3 or 4). I asked why not 25%, like it says on the DM26 sheets. I was told they aren't doing that as no walk has 6 loops.
