I reserve judgement on mail centres and lorry drivers as i know nothing about what they do and i am sure they are nowhere near what they used to be.
If there's a way to make a job harder RM seems to be experts at it.

All duties based at MCs are a piece of f***ing piss compared to delivery Scotchy. That's why they don't allow us to transfer over anymore wish I done it when I had the chance

I've mentioned this before, one of the distribution units I go in to has had a boatload of d.o. transfers in the past 12 months, can't speak for processing though.

Based on your experience of working in a mc i assume?

They got rid of a load of collection duties last year and the staff where offered transfers to nearby do's into deliveries or to move to mail centres about an hour away, 2 came to our office because they lived nearby. One managed a week and the other a fortnight before they both left royal mail

They got rid of a load of collection duties last year and the staff where offered transfers to nearby do's into deliveries or to move to mail centres about an hour away, 2 came to our office because they lived nearby. One managed a week and the other a fortnight before they both left royal mail

That happened in our area, we got the extra collections on delivery and the excess staff were offered to move location, they all opted to commute approx 25 miles round trip rather than come to the local DO's, some of them live within 5 mins walk of the DO.
