Hope you are well HTPostman! I am curious to what you are doing now though. You mentioned the entertainment industry and going self-employed.....Youtuber?? Backing Singer? Personal Trainer?

But anyways, kudos for you for escaping the drudgery and living the dream :thumbup

I'm in two minds about selling my shares. Its currently trading at just less than the 370p offer price (360p plus proposed 10p dividend) which might prompt a few to sell but there could be more upside if the company decides to sell off more of its property. That is assuming that everything goes well with the takeover.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

Very well thank you. I’m a musician, just got home from my gig. It’s fantastic, I go out playing music 3 or 4 nights a week locally, that’s my job. I’m home in my own bed each night too (full respect to the bands who tour the country but it’s not for me, I like my own place!).

The shares were something I thought about for a while. Then I received a letter asking if I wanted to transfer them to my own account or have RM sell them. I just have an uneasy feel about it all so I let them sell them for me. I lost about £1700 as I was charged 40% tax but rather than claim it back I’ve worked out my tax bill for 24/25 is about £2000 so it pretty much covers it. Like all investments, there’s a risk.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.
