You forgot to add

Turn up for work following and spend time re-prepping the previous days post you brought back, whilst the other posties laugh at you and call you "slow coach" etc whilst they are already prepping todays Mech

Later:

Start loading your van with double mail whilst the other posties laugh at you again and call you more names as they leave the yard 15 mins or so before you are likely to finish loading.

You start to think this isn't the best day you've ever had.

Not if they get back 30 mins before you do, as you have to contend with double post on some of your duty.

We have slow coaches in our DO but they seem the miserable ones always moaning about their excessive work loads.
I can see what you did there. :cuppa

We have been told today that there is now no overtime available at all.
So those currently coming in early to prep frames, staying late to complete deliveries, working their rest day, staying in after mail delivered to do parcels all has to stop as no more over time will be paid.
2 casuals that we had that were working basically full time have been stopped.
Some frames will have to take their heavy and large with them as not enough people now to cover heavy and large.
All we can do is start on time take our breaks and finish on time the rest is down to RM.
Alot of staff obviously relied on the overtime so very hard on them.

Sounds like heaven unless you are part time or casual. No arguing with the manager about bringing stuff back, time’s up not my problem :Boo hoo!

Unless mail drops though the floor post the GE I'd give it a week before they are begging you to do OT again

It’s somewhat hilarious isn’t it. ‘There’s no overtime available, besides mail is down and you should all be completing.’
A week later ‘please please will you stay out and complete. I’m struggling for staff and we need to clear no matter the cost’
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

That happened today in our DO after we were swamped with Tracked items!

We had the 'no overtime' thing. It lasted a week. Now we're allowed up to an hour a day. Still not enough to clear on any day after Tuesday for many walks. Yesterday I had over 100 Tracked. The only other mail I took was for houses that still had election leaflets and a few poll cards that arrived on Monday and Tuesday and I still went over by half an hour.
I haven't done D2Ds for six weeks now. I'm a part timer so no prep time except for scanning Tracked.
Happy days!
