A typical BBC puff piece, more postie testimony and less of the RMTV PR Lady in her superhub ivory tower.
Unless some papers or other TV outlets pick up the baton this surface layer investigation will be forgotten by the masses.
Just my 2p worth

Maybe the BBC need to do a program about OFCOM and how they can't find evidence about stuff they're supposed to be regulating when everyone else can.

What a joke Royal Mail is and it's superhub... That line of people to move a york! I'm not sure any of those in the line would survive a single day on delivery.
Dave Ward is as corrupt as the management and the regulator.
Instead of giving a helping hand the union should be pointing out where all the money is being hidden...
The super hubs,EVR's both postman and management, managers massive pay rises when they went from line managers to COM's,endless management bonuses for failed revisions and flouting the USO.
It happens in every delivery office across the country on a daily basis
.
This is all smoke and mirrors to get what they want which will cost lots of us our jobs.
If we go to a 3 or 5 day USO Royal Mail will just flout it even more and what was worst case for letters arriving on tonight's Panorama will become the norm for the entire country.

Exactly!

Yorks are supposed to be pushed by holding the yellow handles. A lot of freewheeling & a person pulling 2 yorks at a time.ted_e_bear wrote: ↑26 Feb 2024, 20:34Wtf was that passing the yorks along a line of about 20 people, surely that's not the most economical method of moving Yorks about, fkin joke waste of money.

Do people really rely on the post ( apart from very old maybe ) when I have an appointment my phone goes about half a dozen times before the date reminding me .TopperGas wrote: ↑26 Feb 2024, 16:42I've heard a brief section of the programme on my local radio this morning and it didn't make good listening for Winsford(?) DO, with one resident in tears as her child missed an op as the letters were never delivered. I'm sensing it might well show a true reflection of the mess RM is presently in.twoloops wrote: ↑26 Feb 2024, 13:00I am quite confident the posties will bear the brunt & blame in this documentary & no mention of unachievable workloads & walks.

The NHS is old school and sends out everything by post. The RM woman said people make appointments online- she must have private healthcare because the NHS still sends out appointments by letter.Wullie10 wrote: ↑26 Feb 2024, 21:03Do people really rely on the post ( apart from very old maybe ) when I have an appointment my phone goes about half a dozen times before the date reminding me .TopperGas wrote: ↑26 Feb 2024, 16:42I've heard a brief section of the programme on my local radio this morning and it didn't make good listening for Winsford(?) Re: BBC PANORAMA - ROYAL MAIL: WHERE'S MY POST - MONDAY 26TH FEBRUARY 8PM
I don't understand why a young woman with two children with health issues is not on some sort of online and postal service with the NHS. Most appointments come by text messages and you get reminders too. That should have been her priority for her children - register to get messages online (email), text and also post.
As for the NHS, why will they just rely on letters for very important surgeries and appointments! They know Royal Mail is not entirely reliable - so they are failing even more than RM.
Lastly, the managers at Winsford, Cheshire needs to be disciplined or moved on. The same person kept having her mail delayed for more than 1 week. It is s combination of weak management and intransigent posties (I will not do another round or don't know this or that after decades of working for RM).

Plus, I can’t believe that they are still denying that they have regularly told us to prioritise parcels, especially Tracked?
My manager told me to do exactly that just 3 days ago

Dave Ward mentioned in unachievable workload and stress and low morale. Whistle blowers mentioned letter piling up and parcels being prioritised. Dave also mentioned recruitment issues along with PR lady.
How some offices allow letters to sit for days is beyond me. 2 days max - or via a slippage 3 days. We rotate and if not out today then tomorrow. That is one way of managing an unachievable workload - customers will not even notice.
USO needs changing ASAP!

So it’s the customer’s fault and the NHS’ fault is it?chrisj wrote: ↑26 Feb 2024, 21:17I don't understand why a young woman with two children with health issues is not on some sort of online and postal service with the NHS.
