If you had duties that just delivered D2D, which wouldn't need much indoor time, how many walks worth could 1 duty probably clear each day?

That would be 100% call rate on duties that are currently generated at something south of 50%, so I'd say less than one. Particularly for more than two contracts which would be increasingly inefficient if not collated (not nested!), which would also require some indoor work unless the MC sorted them in the legendary D2D envelopes.

The thing about delivering D2D seperately is that it would be like a TV channel that only showed adverts. They need addressed mail alongside it to attract the eyeballs or else a cursory glance will condemn it instantly to the bin.

Wondr if RM could work with the D2D companies to create a format that could be machine sorted. If they done that they could have the CSS use a list of DPs that should get D2D to sort 1 to each of them addresses

It’s very sad the charity d2d don’t get delivered, however in my office today 75% of the duties didn’t deliver a letter, let alone a d2d. No relief, still lapsing, no staff. We had over 4000 tracked for 32 duties

I've heard RM talk about a D2D collating machine but I've never actually seen one. It takes quite a bit of time to sort and prep 3 or 4 lots of households.


Then again this is a company that seems to be focusing more on parcels rather than letters? A company that states it's not their policy to prioritise parcels over letters and yet everyday we are instructed to ensure all the Tracked items are delivered?

So, in RM’s glorious future, when letters are no more than a memory, probably 5 years or so. When our parcel delivery duties are twice the size they are now, how important will D2D’s be then?
