Would be the manager playing silly buggers or being spiteful. If you’ve agreed to do overtime for them no reason for them to dock you otherwise they’ll be in the s**t next time round when no one takes them up on their offer.

Get your pda as soon as you go in and log in,first and foremost it is illegal to dock wages if you fail to clock in and out but have arrived in time and left on time it is the managers duty to check that workers have performed this task due to knowing who and who is not in the building for health and safety purposes, but you can be conducted and dismissed for not doing on a regular basis , but i'd imagine you'd have to do it a lot of times before it got to that, one last thing if your late they can dock your wages, sometimes its better being an hour late than 31 mins so take your time and don't rush better to be safe and arrive alive.
Don't think that's true anymore as the fire brigades will always do their own search of a building and AFAIK they never rely on a role call done by any firm
Correct. A very close family member was head fireman for decades. There’s no roll calls in shopping centres, stadiums, airports, train stations, your local Tesco etc - they assume there is someone in every corner of the building and do a full sweep accordingly. Besides, when the alarm sounds can you really imagine a manager having to go to the signing in area to collect the signing in sheet (for those places that still have them)?!
In a MC during the day there very likely will be someone in every part of the building

How does an employee prove he forgot to log or there was a system issue, rather than simply arrived for work 15 minutes late as he overslept? If the employee is always right then what's the point in using SISO in the first place?

Been doubling up with double mail too as manager said ghost overtime is back and u can do pre agreements with managers. Guess what? I just got paid what i scanned in and out. It worked out as peanuts..also did Sunday overtime in another office and haven't been paid that for 2 weeks..managers answer was i thought it was in...I'm so frustrated with the manager.

I want to complain. What's the procedure?

Anyway round it? Should i clock out later?

The frustrating thing is their favourites have pre agreements on overtime but people like me are taken to the cleaners.

Plz advice

Advice?
Scan in and out at the start and end and don't believe daft managers when they say they'll work around it in some way.

We've been told the opposite since SISO all ghost o/t has been stopped as the senior management can clearly see if ghost o/t is now being claimed.
