I failed a collection round I was on, (not my normal round and someone had changed all the keys)
On it there’s huge amount of driving around, got about 50 scans to make and post offices to get to before they close.
When I was back in the car park I flipped out shouted and swore at the colleague that changed the keys around to suit him when he had been on it for a few weeks a month or so ago. He had finished early and going home despite there being parcels in the office.
I have never done that in my life!
I’m now a little worried how it’s going to go down as he’s very senior and the work place coach. Probably why i wokeUp at 2am. It’s a small office and he sort of thinks he is some top dog, he use to be a door-man on a club back decades ago and still got some big macho ego.
I got divorced last year and this Christmas i will be alone which he knows and as we were quietly doing IPS a few weeks ago he says “you know the difference between my Christmas and yours? Il be sat having a lovely dinner with my family cooked by wife.” Like it was some funny joke.
Didn’t bother me too much at the time just thought what a di*k but it’s be gnawing away in my mind, really hate the guy now. And he often brags how much he gets paid being work place coach and does nothing.
I enjoy my normal delivery but not feeling good about going into the office, I’m paranoid and think he’s going to try to get me fired somehow.
Firstly walk into the office and tell the manager your personal life nothing to do with him . There are far too many postman who are obsessed with other people's life. What does it say about them ? You're becoming paranoid. What does it matter if he goes home early and there's mail to clear ? You're not a manager and it's not your problem. Best not talk to the C@@@ at all and just stop telling others your private business. It's only a job , just get on with what you're supposed to do. Stress is not the job . It's the horrible bastards ( so called comrades) you have to work with. If you let them grind you down for their perverse pleasure then they will.
