It's not gone live yet locally. It's very strange, I'd have expected this to have gone live everywhere at the same time

What would be the reason/point for bringing this in a piecemeal way though - surely they could just do this in every MC at the same time !

I would have expected it to be every MC at the same time, which makes me think that we're supposed to be putting them through as Tracked and not as SDs like they currently are. I'd imagine it'd show up as a Tracked failure so for any MC that isn't putting them through as Tracked, that could easily be 1,000+ Tracked failures every night

Has this been abandoned as there's still no sign of it happening locally?

I don't think much changes in your local area.
No it hasn't been abandoned.
Not had an international tracked or signed for (bar the odd customs item) come through our SD locker since it started.

Basically any of the International Traced that have a Done Note with them are still treated as Specials the rest are put through as Tracked has meant half the Locker staff are out on Tracked most nights

AFAIK locally all the international tracked/signed are still 100% coming through the locker and are going though the MC as SDs, not as Tracked

Only RM SDs have being to the RLE.

Everything else goes to the Tracked.

A huge loss in traffic for the locker.

They still come to our locker mixed in with the specials. They have to be separated scanned already for delivery and then put out with the tracked items,
Slider tool. Lol.

They arrive in the MC locally with as SDs and we send them out to the DOs as SDs. It seems crazy as the system will see them as being failed if they've already come through part of the system as SDs

Has anyone heard they are putting the foreign back into locker? That's what I heard from the 18th of this month? Not sure if it's true or not.

I heard this as well, due to tracked areas not scanning everything - even though quite a lot of the stuff is standard international mail which cant be scanned, so sent to other areas to sort.

would they be better off just making a international area and get that area to record it ?

Not sure on other MC but ours we lost a few out the locker.

Ours were told last night that the Foreign items are going back in the locker from next week. No extra staff even though we were reduced from 18 staff down to 10. We'll see how that works out with 2000 to 2500 extra items a night especially as the now arrive four hour later.
