It should say on payslip Bikes 2 Work - Basic/Gross Pay reduced by £ ?.??

My last one started within a couple of weeks of getting the bike.

I've got my Loc to the value of £500 and seen a bike that I want in Halfords. However the website is offering 20% of this price is reserved online. Do they allow you to reserve the bike in this way and then turn up with the Loc and have it for the online price?

I popped in the store to let them know what I was doing first and they were fine with it

I'm 12 months into mine and nothing shows on my wage slip

nothing is showing on mine either but the money is being taken, in fact, they started taking it before i even purchased the bike, so basically if you opted for the £500 loc, but only spent £300 of it, you would be paying for all £500 of the voucher! my payment is just under £6 a week multiply that by 18months of payments and its £460, i thought there was more of a saving to be had?

Thats over your gross wages, you are giving some of your tax to pay it, so you are only paying maybe £4 for example over all, maybe less!

How do you check how much is outstanding?

Also, can you start another when one ends?

Yes u can, i have had my 2nd bike for about a year now, not sure i will get another as i don't use either one any near as much as i should.

So let me just be sure here at the end of the 18 month term I will get the option to pay a small fee (roughly how much on £500) and the bike will be mine is that correct..... Cheers

Thanks for that mate, just got a bit confused with the term collection and disposal, knowing RM I thought a great red van would pull up and swan off with the bike

I'm off to halfords and will get my LOC in

Okay here's some info I found out today regarding other dealerships....

Phone halfords cycle2work dedicated team and after much persuasion / arm twisting /persistance they will give you a list of dealers in your area who will accept the halfords LOC

They give me a list of about 6 in my area (lakeland leisure was one) but probably 4 were mickey mouse dealers (one even tried to flog me an 18" bike when I am 6ft 3 because he had it in stock !! Others had a very limited range). I also found that they do not sell you discounted bikes under the scheme other than Halfords as they loose 10% at source. Some will allow you to add cash and get a better bike but as they point out this is a bit of a fiddle so hush hush (Halfords will not let you add cash, tried 3 branches and got the sane answer neither would lakeland)...

Any how in the end I opted for a Halfords cycle taking advantage of the 20% discount on Carreras

Sorry if this has been asked or is in big bold letter somewhere.

If you get LoC for 500 but spend less, do they make you spend the rest on accesories or do they allow you for example to spend 400 & only finance you for 400?

As I'd rather over esitmate than under estimate & be stuck for choice.
