The PDAs are capable of live tracking much the same as your phone is but management cannot as yet get access to the data live.
Not that it really makes much difference whether they see it live or the next day because it is not supposed to be used as a performance management tool but can be used when disagreement over resourcing occurs.
I can't think of a legitimate reason to post data on a board though and that's probably something that should be fed back to your branch.
Management can get access to live data as I've seen my manager check when a postie was when he was late back to the office. They can't use it at the moment for disaplinary issues.
Well a LM at my office did just that last year with me.
Pulled me up asking why at X time I was here and not at X until this time.
This data they had viewed from my PDA and tried to use it against me.
Threatened me with Wilful delay of mail etc etc.
I had a feeling they were watching me and had wrote everything down for that day.
When they said I was to slow I was able to reply with so my hourly average was 21.7 parcels per hour what is the figure you expect ?
See these bully's hiding behind their job titles fluster when you confront them and have no come back because they know if they said a figure for an hourly delivery rate they would be walking down poo poo street.
