And if you are a non driver there wont be opportunity to work day off because you'd be doing Mon-Fri and cant work the Saturdays as its a parcels and 1st class only day

usually if you get made up to ft you have to become a reserve and give up an existing duty

I think the first column is people who were made up to full time but really only made up to 35 hours with a temporary uplift to 37 which is what it should have been in the first place as that reflected the duties rather than that bollocks of saying full time was limited to 35 because they were planning on getting down to 35.

Probably only If there’s a load of drivers on the sick and the rest just do parcels and get you to do letters on a few rounds

Members in my office peed off, G82/83 appear to be the only office in the whole G postcode who don’t have anyone moving up according to that spreadsheet.
We don’t have anyone on a temporary variation of contract, although I’m pretty sure a lot of the G postcodes are in same boat, but we do have plenty part timers working OT on a constant basis, early IPS and prep etc.
Martin said there is still an opportunity to review part timers hours, anytime we’ve done that the OPL basically says ,nah, cos they don’t need them on a Tuesday in July.

Genuinely thought it was a typo at first, every single office in G bar us with folk going up.

I wouldn't worry too much about the list as anybody on it is already on a FT contract, just the RM paperwork might not show they are, the CWU really led all PT'ers down the garden path with the way they announced the (paperwork) review.

If there's regular early ips and prep then that's the work that requires more full time staff in your office, wonder if there's any chance of contacting your area CWU branch to send someone to discuss staffing issues with your management as this subject has obviously blown up into a big issue and massive achievement for the CWU over the course of the last week or so.

I've just read 15 pages of this and it all seems as clear as mud whether someone currently on a contract of less than 37 hours is entitled to be made up to 37 hours.

Martin, or anyone, is there a straight answer to the following question: If you are on a 30 or 35 hour contract, but you regularly have to claim excess overtime to complete your delivery (which you have signed for) if you do not cut-off your delivery BUT you've never been offered a temporary variation of contract, are you automatically excluded from being made up to 37 hours, despite having to put in all those extra hours on overtime to get the job done?

You're not excluded but as always been the case you have to get your local management to approve the changes, personally I can't see them agreeing to that whilst everything is up in the air regarding the proposed USO reform.

Until the USO reform is sorted out one way or the other I can't see any uplifts taking place as RM won't know how many staff are needed in each office. If the USO reform means that MCs will only process 1C on Fridays (which probably won't happen as it won't be viable - not enough 1C) then MCs won't need that many staff on night shifts on Friday nights

People have been spoken to in our office to see if they want to increase to 37hrs and our manager is on orders from above to get the paperwork sorted
