It's all going full steam ahead. All the deployment managers jobs are advertised now as permanent jobs. A managers call today spoke about when the changes happen in August not if it gets agreement. Be under no illusion this is happening with or without CWU tacit approval.

As I wrote, only complete morons would push ahead with a delivery model that doesn’t work.

COM said last Saturday that when (not if) it is implemented that failure will not be an option. I don't want to misquote so I will say that it was implied that this is the company's one and only plan to stave off implosion.

How are they going to stop it failing unless they reduce the size of the duties and take on extra staff? As nobody is going to want to stay out until all hours clearing two or three days mail every day.

Delivering 2-3 days mail now is about as much as we delivered in one day 20 years ago

Mine about 17 years ago ( the one I’m on now ) had 400 calls and today it has 879.

Plus the parcels are f***ing heaving now every single day. Just a continuous torrent of cheap s**t bought online on a whim from these lazy plebs who can’t set up a safe place and never answer their door.

Just in the last few years we have had:
Photo capture on delivery.
Massive increase in Tracked postage labels which require a doorstep scan.
Increase in signed for.
Scanning our own parcels at our frame.
Repeat delivery attempt of parcels.
Collections from doorstep.
Collect+

I’m sure there are more extras which we now have to do within the same time frame, for the same money.

Yeah I’ll believe that when I see it… I’ve read the same as you but don’t trust them one iota on this one.

We've been hearing for about the past 8 years that 'you'll be losing the big parcels', 'dedicated parcel route', 'LAT driver will be doing them', 'PF will be doing them' (this one repeatedly). None of these have happened yet. I'm not saying they won't but I'm not holding my breath either.

It’s obvious to most that we won’t be able to complete on time, as the duties will be too big to deal with up to 3 days of mail. Bring it on , I’ll be using a trolley which will slow me down, if and when they push this sh1t through.
Early summer for that
Only complete morons would push ahead with a delivery model that does not work or save the expected amount of money.
It’s happening then?
Slider tool. Lol.
