Not having a day off cover, and after day of no one even throws the mail in, so I have 2 days of mail to sort, and a million other things, this job is so much easier if you could work on your own.

Came in after long weekend to find I'd been dumped on a walk where the duty holder brought back half the duty Friday as he was unwell, still bundled. No-one covered it or prepped it Saturday or Monday, IPS and buddy trays piled around the frame but someone had squeezed past to get the D2Ds in

And you can still finish on your finish time. If you have to stand there all day prepping, that’s not your problem.

They wouldn't let you prep all that mail at mine, you would just be sent out to do tracked, specials , customer collects ect, as the mail pilled up, it's running on fumes.

Oh I know, and I'm sure management knows that I'm either cutting off or making it last til 7pm...

Surely they have - round our area the local council, waterboard, electricity board, upstart broadband companies all must decide to work on triple overtime and dig up the roads on a Sunday because all the parcels/packets are scanned as inaccessible.....

Round here it's the roads at the far away rural areas, I can only assume must be all blocked due to farmers moving their sheep and cows every Sunday

This new Trimble replacement system, cameramatics I think it's called. Today i've had it announce "dangerous driving detected" on 5 occasions, none of which involved dangerous driving. In another van, a colleague had it telling him he was speeding at 57 mph in a 30 zone when he was doing less than 30. Load of rubbish.
