If that's really the case then why are now being told to make sure all the 1c letters are delivered every single day since RM were fined? In our DO we probably are now delivering most of them on the day they arrive.

RM were being fined over this for the past however many years since Covid ceased to be a plausible excuse. Only since the company was bought out this year, however, does it suddenly matter and now the new owners have to be seen to be doing something to turn declining QoS around.

The new first class focus is actually making all the other services worse. They want first class doing even if that means failing more loops/walks non tracked parcels. I think we've all seen the drive down in service over the years. Maybe that was so the company could be bought cheaper, happened. Maybe it was so the USO could be reduced, happened. If RM really wanted to deliver letters properly then we wouldn't have seen all the s**t we have recently. Every day at our office van shares are done by one person. Often the first class cannot be done when this happens as the walks are massive and the volumes are too high.
