We have been told to prioritise tracked 24 and 1st class. If we have to much to deliver we have to drop tracked 48

I got told the opposite, when I asked what I should do if I don’t have time, I got told to leave the 1st class and just get tracked done. Basically got told the 1st class needs to leave the building so put it in a bundle and just bring it back.

Which is OK until you've got a double amount to deliver the next day? If you bring a RM "chip" back what's the betting the manager will throw you under the bus rather than admit what he told you to do?

This i don't really understand, If by "chip" you mean a RM test letter surely that falls on your manager, how can he/she throw you under anything when you don't have time to complete and if it carries over you have even less chance of completing.

I think they mean the manager will deny instructing you to take the mail "for a ride" and instead allow you to be accused of wilful delay etc for bringing it back without prior authorisation to do so.

He said she said is not wilful delay, who ever gets anything other than word of mouth and defending that should be easy, but i know what you are saying as all managers have a tendancy to be liberal with the truth.

Why worry about it as you're getting the same pay whatever you deliver?

This made the job an unmanageable nightmare. And we're under constant threat of willful delay. Which they can do it if they want because everything fails – 1c, 2c and tracked. They even threat willful delay with the D2D's.

Who's "we"? - do you mean you personally, you and your van-share colleague, or the whole office?

"We" is me and my van-share colleague. Half the office completes everything, finishes early and hangs around the office doing nothing until clock out time. We get 2 or 3 times the parcels they have.
