It's 13 because your max duty time is 11 hours excluding rest breaks

You've got that the wrong way around I'm afraid!

The ACAS guidance you link to relates to rest breaks for workers more widely.Jefferson Starfish wrote: ↑14 Oct 2025, 11:08You've got that the wrong way around I'm afraid!

I think Menditsa is referring to the Domestic Rules for drivers, and I think he may be correct in what he is saying.

£140 for under 4 hours driving doing parcels would be alright.
Wouldn’t do it in my car though on the roads around here would need to buy a beat up old rm van.

So you believe that you're not still employed by RM on your day off?

Don’t get me wrong, I can see the attraction. It would be more than all right in terms of money at £140. But as an ex Flex driver myself, I can tell you now, you won’t get many, if any, four-hour blocks paying £140. Even at busy times you are likely to be inundated with four-hour offers only at base rate (circa £60), or maybe £100 if you strike gold with constant refreshing of the offer list (sometimes hours spent refreshing the app) and manage to get a surged block.postmanzach wrote: ↑17 Oct 2025, 07:06But on a day off…?

Once you've taxed, MOT'd and also paid for courier insurance then you're not going to make a lot just working p/t?postmanzach wrote: ↑17 Oct 2025, 07:06But on a day off…?Smoothbackground wrote: ↑14 Oct 2025, 14:46The ACAS guidance you link to relates to rest breaks for workers more widely.Jefferson Starfish wrote: ↑14 Oct 2025, 11:08You've got that the wrong way around I'm afraid!
