Re: Agreement reached
Why do they insist on 3 year pay deals,we are always worse off by then, looks like minimum wage by year 3 then.

Re: Agreement reached
The CWU were due to meet with OFCOM this week to provide feedback on the USO trials. Royal Mail were hoping for a response from OFCOM by July 1st. It makes you wonder if OFCOM have made their decision and a pay agreement has been reached now that the new board knows what the USO will be moving forward.
Just speculating, but I feel we will see OFCOM announce their decision regarding the USO next week. Some clarity would be nice.

Clear frame policy oh and you don’t get paid for meal relief anymore. The newbies don’t so why should you. We are all in it together and it’s the best deal you could get. They haven’t got any money. Same old, same old.

It will be a shite deal and delivery will take the brunt of change yet again. All the union bods will be super chuffed with themselves though. I wonder who is the top and bottom when they shaft one another. I reckon Chris Webb takes it whilst Dave Ward delivers and Martin Walsh sits in the corner clapping.

Re: Agreement reached
As I said before there will b no improved deal, it’s been ready for months only sticking point has been how to equalise pay for new starts…..that’s probably why it’s a 3 year deal to bring them to pay parity….4 percent over 2 years makes do difference T&Cs be torn up anyway if profit isn’t what the new owner thinks….thanks to processing today though for sending out gold labels when Sunday hubs was panned

I can never understand 3 year deals. Especially nowadays. Who can say what inflation will be by then when the country is governed by idiots.Cofipostie1 wrote: ↑29 Jun 2025, 17:36Why do they insist on 3 year pay deals,we are always worse off by then, looks like minimum wage by year 3 then.![]()
