Free for all here in Banbury - we've posties being paid 2 hours for early IPS. Nothing gets done and we get out no earlier but it's easy money if your face fits

in our office you do over time, but wont necessarily get paid for it. And its not by accident

Yep same at my DO and it's been happening for well over a decade now. Scandalous behaviour by the COMs and all because they is cooking the books to make office look like it aint failing miserably

Well you have an obligation to report fraudulent accounting. If you simply comment about it on here and do nothing that makes you as bad as them.

It really is amazing how many posties moan and moan about figures being fiddled but just sit back and let it carry on.

it does get reported. They play dumb and give in if you press enough on it. The whole culture is bent up the chain, it isnt one rogue manager

Can only speak for my own office but we are told every day Tracked is priority over mail, it's beyond denial able and I expect that is the same across every office in the UK

Oh behave , that ship has longed sailed , they don’t even try to hide it anymore , it’s common knowledge that this is how Royal Mail operates now.

And they are technically correct

A tracked letter takes priority over a non tracked parcel.

The only way to shed a credible light on it would be to expose a written directive from above, which conspicuously does not exist. It's amazing, though, how all the line managers have had the same independent thought about prioritising Tracked. It takes catnip to herd cats.

At the end of the day Ofcom are aware that Royal Mail are nowhere near to hitting the delivery targets of letters and have already had 2 multi-million pound fines over the last 12 to 16 months.

Royal Mail continue to fail mail delivery expectations and commitments. This is not down to posties, but management.

Last I heard RM were delivering ~75% of 1st class mail on time, when it's supposed to be in the 90s.

Always heavily and purposefully understaffed.

Just management saving another few pounds so they can hit their end of year bonus.
