There is a RM cross trainer type of shoe called the “Bandera” or something like that, they are okay and have a good Michelin rubber sole.
I’ve worn them in the mail centre and they are pretty comfortable out of the box.
I see a few posties round my way wearing them on their rounds.
The ‘Magnum Bandera Active Trainer’ (had to look the name up), they’ve changed them slightly from a couple of years ago and are now MUCH better. Still need the right insoles for your feet of course.

Yep They're the ones You're right about the insoles. I've got some Scholl insolls to help with the dreaded Plantars.
They're pretty Waterproof, Good Grip and a nice solid toe for when you kick some hidden object!

I’m undecided on the RM trainers or walking style trainer.
Any recommendations on which is better?
I prefer something light weight and less bulky so I’m leaning towards the trainer, but the walking shoe seems a lot better in winter weather.

I ordered the bandera ones and have got on great with them so far, but no my allocation has gone up and I can order a new pair ready for these ones give up on me.
But my size are out of stock and I’m undecided whether to wait until they comeback into stock or order the trainer style shoe as I think they could be good for the summer months and I can switch between the two types depending on the weather etc.
I got a doctors note so can wear my own. I don’t understand people getting cross about the idea of spending money on shoes to make yourself feel comfortable at work. They’re your feet, you want them to feel good. I could wear the Royal Mail trainers if I wasn’t walking around all day.
I tend to wear hybrid trail shoes as on a rural and much of the route is muddy paths, not so much smooth tarmac. Currently got some brooks ‘divide 4’ but alternate.
If you’re looking for budget comfortable trainers I think the Nike revolutions are around £55. I was in shop today buying trainers and it seems that’s the cheapest, I remember wasn’t long ago expensive trainers were £80 now it’s more like £180! Nike revolution are budget and they may squeak (had some few years ago and they did) but they’re okay for “off the shelf”

If you've hit your uniform allocation, don't bother getting a manager to order any extra, it'll get rejected. Doesn't matter what level of manager at an office, if you've hit your allocation the order will be rejected.
