Yep, people are quick to complain but hardly bother to send good feedback, do any of us really care if we get postie of the week, month or rising star, it's all crap!heraldmoth wrote: ↑12 Oct 2024, 18:14Option is already there for the customer and why ask them for feedback which at some point is bound to be negative and then you can have a hand in your own conducttalk about turkeys voting for Xmas

We’ve been asked to do the same, posters going up in office with posties name and customers comments, embarrassing, like being back at school.

Not been asked, but I assume this is the dashboard stuff. I've had a few 10's. You get a notification on your pda when somebody rates you 10. One customer of mine gave me a 10 for throwing something over his gate. Given we can't officially do that, I did wonder what reaction it would get from management

It’s a 10 until the photo is checked for compliance, at which point it’s the 3Cs

Re: Been asked to ask customers for feedback.
I think customers would rate their postie on friendliness more than anything else. If you are someone that spends ages talking to customers, you know their name, job, you ask them how they are every time you see them, you know their kids names, their partners name, their pets name....then you will get top marks from the customer....
Whereas, what Royal Mail actually want is for you to rush around as quickly as possible and complete. They don't want you spending 10 to 20 minutes per day talking to customers.

I’m not particularly bothered about what marks I get. I am friendly enough when I’m out there, but want to get on and finish, so there’s no chance of idle chit chat. A manager has told me of two recent positive comments, well that’s fine, but all I’m doing is my job. It’s not like we get a bonus for all this nonsense. No doubt managers do.

It's the same with the driving score, they want you to complete you're delivery asap but then reward staff with chocolate bars for driving around like a snail, as that's the only way to get a score near 100%.norris9 wrote: ↑18 Oct 2024, 06:56I think customers would rate their postie on friendliness more than anything else. Re: Been asked to ask customers for feedback.
What RM wants done and what RM wants to be seen doing are diametrically opposed when measured in Pounds Sterling. I think it was back in 2017 they were pushing this 'Wonderwall' where we'd boast of all the great things we do for the people who live on our duties. All fine and well until your walk is lapsed six-ways and no-one gives a toss and then we couldn't even boast delivering the damn letters because it persistently failed to clear. Money talks, not you to your customers. The Wonderwall persisted in a corner untouched and ignored for a few years after the Most Important Thing Right Now moved onto something else.
The machine stops.

It’s quite simple, photograph a few parcel labels every day, check the app with the tracking a week later and if no review has been given, just put in ‘best postman I’ve ever had
The whole thing is about opinion, so pointless really
