You can sign in and out on your PDA
Some days there’s no need to go back if it’s near your time and the van is going past your home

I would expect them to at some point. It should be linked to payroll so you get paid for exactly what you work. What will probably happen is any extra minutes will get chopped off and if you're late too often you'll get a disciplinary.

Manager's should have ensured that enough static devices were put in place to manage this sort of scenario - but then again managers are supposed to do a lot of things to earn their 40k but don't.
