With the PDA tracking our every move.
Why don't RM create a database of "undesirable" customers.
Then give us a warning when we scan their parcels.

If you scan on the doorstep as instructed, then do as the OP has here, you should have no problems at all. I would say, make sure the photo shows the open door though, as we still have posties just scanning the item at the closed door, which can still be challenged by dodgy customers.
Also, never sign for anything yourself.

Guess your right thing is trying to give customers a good service even if the sender makes a mistake, because 99% of my customers are really nice people and they treat me better than royal mail ever will. And I think RM have forgotten all about customer service its all about money

What ?? The police have enough to do without chasing up stupidities like this and wasting tax payers money. Let the owner spend money if they want to chase it further

Re: Denial of receiving package.
Sometimes we get the 'complaint' bits of paper appearing on our frames without any input from manager as to what they want us to do about it,ted_e_bear wrote: ↑09 Apr 2024, 16:10Why do these instances even get put through as complaints, RM should immediately dismiss them, no further action required as the item has been delivered, see included evidence as confirmation.
End of.
who was on the duty that particular day, what the PDA data says about the item. They just can't be bothered doing a bit of investigation themselves. If we don't get any briefing from a manager what they want to happen, they get 'filed' away. As you say a lot of these could be refuted by the complaints team immediately.

Sounds like a customer trying a fast one.. even funnier when they come into the office and deny receipt of items and you have the proof of delivery on screen and they are wearing the same clothes as they were in the photo taken by the postie..
then they try to carry on the act....and all you are thinking is yeah this photo is clearly you....who the f#ck are you trying to kid??

They just get passed off in our office as you've followed procedure. Ultimately, what more can you do?

Re: Denial of receiving package.
In fairness, the twice I've had this happen it has been a genuine mistake on the part of the customer. Both times it was school holidays and the kids had taken the parcel in, put it somewhere and forgot about it. Both apologised to me and withdraw the complaint a few days later.chrisdouglas wrote: ↑15 Apr 2024, 23:18Sounds like a customer trying a fast one.. even funnier when they come into the office and deny receipt of items and you have the proof of delivery on screen and they are wearing the same clothes as they were in the photo taken by the postie..then they try to carry on the act....and all you are thinking is yeah this photo is clearly you....who the f#ck are you trying to kid??
