Post Office Scandal - What effect could it have on Royal Mail?

The only knock on effect we could wish for..... they decide to have a good look at how the business is run and the legal obligations it must adhere too.
And if they can't/won't adhere to them, make them do it, i don't care if they go to a 3/5 day USO, it has to be physically possible to be done in the duty span over 3/5 days.

It could mean all staff in DOs do Sundays on a rota

Does anyone know how big that parcel lift is in the Liverpool D/O,that was mentioned by that horrible investigator. Was he telling the truth or lying to the committee?

Just bumping this because I’d like to know too!

Basically we need to know;

• How many lifts do you have to the upstairs meeting rooms?
• Are any of them a parcel lift?
• Would you put a disabled person in the lift?

I do realise all of that, but is there anything you can see that i can't to suggest RM aren't going down that route anyway, let them have their 5 day USO and in return force them to firstly adhere to the USO and secondly make the postmans workload manageable so he can deliver it.
You have to remember there's a lot of us happy to be paid off and i would be one of them.

The only multi storey Royal Mail building I can think of in Liverpool opposite the railway station the last time I visited the city up North, I believe it's now demolished, it probably where they conducted the interviews, don't know about disabled lifts in fact I didn't even know it was a thing.

It is clear there was a cover up by the Post Office

Is there any police investigations ongoing ?

There should be arrests as far as i am concerned - they were quick enough to jail these innocent people at the time !

Personally I hope this snowballs into an investigation into our national postal service. I doubt it will though, sadly. Too many powerful people with their fat fraudulent fingers in the till.
We all know that RM is littered with dodgy dealings/corruption/lies/suspicious Czech businessmen but nobody seems willing or able to do anything about it

Financial Times tomorrow suggesting Post Office owes £100m tax bill - it treated compensation payments as tax deductible when it shouldn’t have.

There is a suggestion the company may be insolvent!

The same was said on the news on Saturday morning, but it's a nonsense as it's a government-owned corporation. It may/will make huge losses but it can't be insolvent anymore than the DSS, MoD etc could be.
