Do you work in delivery ?

Yes. You get delivery supplement.
No.. You don't get delivery supplement.

According to Royal Mail I worked on delivery up to last week and now because they've changed their minds on who works for delivery I don't ; no notice , no explanation .
If you work in the Specials cage are you on delivery ? Callers office ? Keys & tabs ?

I'm on collections and still exactly the same, £11.

I’m not blaming anyone for voting yes,the union pushed back the ballot & encouraged the yes vote.

This is entirely their fault

What do you suggest they should have done then.
Kept striking until we literally lost all the business customers to our rivals and plunged the company into administration.
They were stuck between a rock and a hard place and the time had come where a deal needed to be done to secure our jobs survival.
They got the best deal they could in the circumstances.
Allot better deal than Royal Mail envisaged when the dispute started.

Yes , I've lost about £914 a year ( bye bye pay rise !) We weren't even told it was happening and just found out when the wage slips appeared on Tuesday afternoon . We've obviously got the union involved and it's up with headquarters who are seeking a resolution .
Apparently it's to do with the management restructure which means we are no longer attached to a Delivery Office .

I haven't been told and only realised when I logged into my bank account and saw I was short then checked my payslip on R/M app. Hopefully the union will sort it out but won't hold my breath as it will probably only be a strongly worded letter

They can do one when I get asked to deliver a couple of tracked on my collection as I'm passing. They can also forget about me working my day off delivering packets to help them out ( only do that in Dec )

Perhaps the collection supplement should be alot more as we hardly ever fail any part of our duty. I can count on 1 hand the amount of failed collection points I've had this year

You're missing the point entirely.


Divide and concer tactics from R/M working well by the look of it.

Perhaps the collection supplement should be alot more as we hardly ever fail any part of our duty. I can count on 1 hand the amount of failed collection points I've had this year

On collections the OPG is literally sitting on their arse in a nice warm van playing with their phone for half the shift.

On Delivery the OPG is slogging their guts out for the entirety of the shift and still unable to complete the duty because they have been intentionally been made unachievable.

Delivery staff should be paid more than Collections, because it is simply a much harder job.

On Delivery the OPG is slogging their guts out for the entirety of the shift and still unable to complete the duty because they have been intentionally been made unachievable.

Delivery staff should be paid more than Collections, because it is simply a much harder job.



I don't dispute it a harder job in delivery however in collections you could argue the hours are less friendly and there are no 5 day weekends every month. Both functions have there own benefits and downsides.

I certainly don't have the time to sit in a nice warm on my phone by the way.

Collections duties have 'excess' travelling time built in to them because of the unpredictable traffic. Delivery duties are all excessively long now because RM don't give a flying f*ck about delivery staff.

All RM care about is collecting/moving the workload through the system. Once it's dumped into a DO they've basically washed their hands of it.

As for excess travelling time I can assure you that is not the case.

I'm assuming you're either based in London or out in the sticks then.

Also the only benefits I ever got from being on Delivery over Collections was that it made me leave RM for another job.
