I like to check I have been paid the full hours I have worked , which is not always the case. Then I can go in Wednesday morning and sort it out. I know I still won't get paid till the week after , unlike years ago , when a mistake was made ( rarely ) you'd be paid the difference with a giro cheque. I guess I'm one of those odd people who just hates to work and not get paid the correct money.

I don’t really know how it all works. I’m looking at my HMRC income tax account (which also usually shows my Friday pay on a Tuesday around mid afternoon). That hasn’t updated either, so it looks like not only is the app down but the payment hasn’t been scheduled.

Not scaremongering, nor am I fussed (as long as it’s in there Friday morning). Maybe someone else knows a little more about the way the HMRC site works.
