You can get some pretty cheap mobile SIM only 30 days with unlimited calls/texts and some data these days, look at money saving expert/money supermarket etc, always deals for new customers so you can save over expensive contracts.

Isn't this ironic....

I posted a short while ago that an international company head office I go to had, due to the strikes, switched their employees payslips to online as they weren't getting delivered, and that switching payslips online was saving them £200 a month in postage going forward.

I was jeered and told that I was making it up.

And here we are.....Royal Mail are doing exactly the same.....shock horror.

So today is the last paper payslip. I will be registering on the dreaded Royal Mail people’s app to view my payslips and my Royal Mail info. I would never thought in my Royal Mail career I would have download this app on my phone. I wanted paper payslips all the time but they have stopped them from June.

I will be registering on this app when I come home from work.
The only thing I am worried and concerned about is the my home address details and bank details. I don’t wanna mess up my address and bank details up lol.

I will be making fresh new email account then writing on paper all login details in case I forget (I recommend everyone do the same)

Wish me luck and I wish everyone luck lol
You're "overthinking" it a bit, royal mail already know your address and bank details you don't have to provide them when you register on the app.

Iirc the 1st time you register by using your pay number then you can log in with either that or the email address you used plus the password you make up on registration.

If you prefer, alternatively you can login using the web version here

https://flpnwc-tiqlowleu9.dispatcher.eu ... Shell-home
No I mean. If i click that section. I don’t wana accidentally change them lol
You can't get in to that option accidentally, you have to input your security details same as the view payslip option, what you can do though for example which is useful is you can order uniform so you can see if/when items you want are within allocation, you'll probably find that when you log in you're able to order a torch and a plastic water bottle, yeah I know not that exciting but if within allowance you can get stuff yourself like shoes without having to go ask the numpty in the office.
Thanks for that reply Matey. Very informative.
So if I log in for the first time they will send me torch lol and plastic water bottle (I take it that red Royal Mail one hahaha)

I take it when u register for the first time they ask u create ur new security details ???
Yes you select your own password, the torch and that water bottle show up as accessories you can order additionally to usual uniform items so that's why you'll be eligible to order, haha no they don't just send them as an introductory free gift.
Thnx for answering my questions bud.

Has u can tell I am a old dinosaur hahaha. I really wish they kept the paper payslips

Ah, it all makes sense now. We had to axe the payslips to pay for packet shovels. Swings and roundabouts.
The machine stops.

Local libraries often have computers available to the public, where you could view and print off your payslips if you want to(at a cost).

I've no idea in that case, I've looked on the app for you but I can't find anything, perhaps whilst you still have a phone and internet access you could either ask through the app or phone HR, otherwise perhaps ask your manager.

Maybe report back on here in case anyone else has the same question.

My nearest library is 10 miles away, but my DO has a computer.

Is it possible to opt back in so that you do actually receive a paper pay-slip ?

Just asking for Marshamp.

No, they're stopping paper wage slips altogether.
