Yup happy days for noobies and part timers, just a shame it's at the long term full timers expense!

What have I missed ? is Seniority in reverse now ?

The cushy rounds the oldtimers pick aren't so cushy anymore so they are given a choice of pick the perceived easiest duty which aren't cushy anymore...its a shame because I thought it was a good system but as we know the profit machine is in full swing let's hope ofcom or the new CEO can have some common sense on the duty sizes.

Wrong! Oldtimers that started out as reserves and whom had already taken their turn at not having a regular round are now being forced to go back to being reserves! Allowing the noobies fresh in from the world the chance to go straight on to walks without having to do the s**t work that every body else had to do when they started!

Really? From what I read you are saying the oldtimers can still pick the best rounds but the best rounds are now crap? I'm talking about not being able to pick rounds at all now? As they have to become reserves as the part timers get to choose before them because management want some part timers to sign for walks even though a lot of them have less seniority?

No it's not an exaggeration. When there are only a certain amount of rounds left on each section only a part timer can sign for them. For example on one section in this current resign there were 3 rounds left. Someone with over 20 years was not allowed to sign for any of them as they then were deemed part timer only! So basically a part timer with 3 years seniority can now choose one of them but the guy with 20 years seniority could not!

So I guess if that's not how it's done in your office you are one of the lucky ones!

Well it is going that way but there's still a seniority list the top long timers will get what they want every office is different in numbers and how the managers want to implement hours and dutys.
