Saw another guy leave in our place, chap wanted to stay, and wanted to apply for a vacant job that was only just offered and never taken up 6 months ago. The DOM simply just doesn't care and is incompetent.

I agree. RM love to try and micro-manage every situation from behind a Laptop. Whenever my DOM "tries" to give me some BS reason why something can be done I point out RM consists of Two Halves: The Half you lot deal with on your Laptops and The Real World that we live in trying to deliver the Mail, normally with a lack of staff!
