Just had my post delivered.
Assuming he is delivering the mail as the frame runs he has about 60/90 minutes left.

A 40 minute wait from the time the indoor work was finished and the last van arriving.

Isn't that supposed to be getting looked at with the review?clashcityrocker wrote: ↑10 Sep 2024, 15:31A 40 minute wait from the time the indoor work was finished and the last van arriving.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Can't see the last van arriving any earlier. For us the last lorry is often has WAY MORE yorks on it than what RM said would be on it. It was supposed to be about a dozen yorks but in reality is often a full up double stacker (about 90 yorks) and that's in the low season. If anything I think RM will very make the final dispatches later than what they are nowPerseus wrote: ↑11 Sep 2024, 16:22Isn't that supposed to be getting looked at with the review?clashcityrocker wrote: ↑10 Sep 2024, 15:31A 40 minute wait from the time the indoor work was finished and the last van arriving.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
I noticed 1 last week but today I had about 10 Tracked parcels that only had a 2D barcode.
The 13 digit reference was completely missing from the parcel.
So what happens when that barcode gets creased or wet or the PDA simply won't read it?

They're the tracked that you can now purchase in a post office, it's possible to input the long number but obviously a bit tedious, if it won't scan because the barcode has got wet and you can't quite read the number properly then it will still show up on your PDA to select mark as delivered assuming you scanned it to core route, again even more of a tedious pita finding it though.clashcityrocker wrote: ↑12 Sep 2024, 15:29I noticed 1 last week but today I had about 10 Tracked parcels that only had a 2D barcode.

And increasingly when it is present they now seem to defy the old standard that numberplates also ahdere to: is that an 'I' or a 'J'? Is that an 'O' or a 'Q'? Did they run out of barcodes? The shittonne of Tracked today would suggest so.clashcityrocker wrote: ↑12 Sep 2024, 15:29The 13 digit reference was completely missing from the parcel.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
God awful day, I decided to complete on 1 hour and 10 mins o.t. I am a singleton duty holder. I had two full trolleys and 87 tracked (not forgetting the odd non tracked items), absolutely ridiculous, one colleague off till Jan with broken arm and another phoned in sick this morning leaving us right in the shitte, but shi* happens I guess. I work in a small office with only 8 duties (and "phg" does a small chunk of town about 45 mins Christmas aside. Might cut off tomorrow, don't know yet, either way I told manager my cut off if I do o.t is 16:00 (when it gets dark).

Utter bollocks from whoever told you that. I'm expecting the number of Xmas cards to really ramp up next week. The CSS machines start pissing rejects when batches are mainly made up of Xmas cards, where they spin as they go through, so the next pass the machine doesn't find the barcodes. I wish people would make an effort to seal the f***ing things. So many have the flap open, no attempt even made to close it. They should at least tuck it inside the envelope, it'd be better than nothing. We start getting jams when they get stuck on the ends of the diverters.

Bracing.
But nothing compared to those working in the eye of storm Darragh.
I really feel for my fellow colleagues working yesterday in the West of the country and in Wales.

I had a parcel delivered by a postie while I was out at work and so I took the opportunity to leave a review stating that they shouldn’t have been sent out in such conditions.BenacreNick wrote: ↑08 Dec 2024, 08:46Bracing.
